Summer, at last, is here - and with the economy like it is, a lot of people are realising that there are cheaper ways to spend time away on holiday and still have a good investment when you come home. That's why caravans and motorhomes have become so popular in the last year. Because you've got more freedom to go where you want - and a lump sum that you can get back when you decide to sell on. That's the joy of the motorhome!
This lovely motorhome dates from 1996 and is a real beauty. It's very clean inside because I have just had it valeted and tidied up, and with an excellent clean look on the outside.
Here is what this van has got:
* A three way fridge with freezer compartment
* A gas powered shower
* Hot and cold running water in the sink
* A 3 ring hob
* A gas oven
* A really nice clean kitchen area
* Fold down table currently stored in the upright cupboard
* Cassette toilet
* Grey water tank beneath the body
* The gas fire needs to be repaired and is currently not working. But if you're using it as a summer vehicle, then that's not really a problem.
Note: The petrol engine was replaced with a reconditioned one 3,000 miles back, and is basically brand new - as can be seen by the immensely clean engine bay.
The outside is clean, though with a few dents and dings here and there. It remains watertight and very clean, and drives like an absolute dream.
The bed up top is really comfy, and the two beds below are lovely and soft and comfy, too.
It has blinds all round for privacy.
It does have a few things that need sorting out: the shower room could do with a handful of new screw fixings just to tidy it up. I have also bought a new shower curtain for the shower, but haven't yet fitted it. Obviously you'll get that when you buy it. It has a couple of litte knocks and dents to the interior - one where there has been a repair to the dining table and one with a repair to the sink cover. But overall it is amazingly clean and a real beauty.
The great thing about these vans is rolling up on a summer's day by the beach and being able to offload all your beach kit and enjoy the day. Taking the kids out in it is also a complete delight. Then, knowing that you're going to stay overnight and boiling up a cup of hot chocolate and watching the sun go down, as your kids start to get snoozy is an absolute gem of an experience. That's why I really love these vans.
History:
It was previously used by a company that used it to attend outdoor events, where the owner co-ordinated the security. It was thus often used as a mobile office, and for this reason has been looked after and kept very clean. I am selling the van on behalf of its own. The Number Plate of the Van is : N256 SJR. The HPI check shows the van as "Recovered". I am able to give you a very clear account of its history. Just ring me and I will be glad to help you.
Please Note: Because this is a recovered vehicle, you are getting a REALLY CHEAP deal. These vans usual retail for between £13,000 - £15,000!
MOT AND LOG BOOK / V5:
I have the correct MOT form and log book. I have just got the MOT done - so it will expire on 24th May 2011. The V5 shows 5 former keepers. The vehicle was acquired by the current owner on 02/02/2008. It's all legit and above board.
ROAD TAX
I have just put on 6 months' road tax, which expires on 1/11/2010.
